Made from up-cycled trees from the New England forests, these Spalted Maple Wood Boards represent conservation and beauty intertwined. Mike Peterman began turning bowls & other objects on a lathe over 15 years ago and since then, has become a master wood-turner; creating beautiful statement pieces for your home, using woods collected from the forests in his surrounding area. Trees that normally would be chipped or destroyed are transformed in Peterman's studio. This Spalted Maple is especially gorgeous, with all its swirls and imperfections. Tracks and whirls showing the depth and character of the tree it came from.

Variations in the coloration of these unique maple wood boards is to be expected and part of the beauty of the craft. Each piece of wood has a different tone and figuring, lending to the appeal of each piece.

Shipping
All orders are processed within 1 to 5 business days (excluding weekends and holidays) after receiving your order confirmation email. You will receive another notification when your order has shipped. Please note, processing times are separate from the shipping times you see at checkout. During high order volume periods, like national holidays, or extreme weather events, there may be delays in shipping through our third-party shipping carriers. The Ark Elements is not responsible for any shipping delays once the items leave our warehouse.

Returns
All sales are final. In the event that you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, returns are accepted on eligible items for store credit only within 10 business days of the invoice date, and must be accompanied by a receipt. Also, please read the item descriptions carefully - we carry many works by small artisans and the handmade origins often lend to small imperfections that are part and parcel of the collections herein.

To be eligible for a refund, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it.

Credit is good for one year from date of issue.

All packaging must remain intact and must be documented for shipping insurance claims.
