Limoges porcelain has an historically rich cultural heritage. in 1765 the kaolin clay, a special white clay, was discovered at St. Yrieix near Limoges France. It soon transformed the region into an epicenter of fine porcelain making - a craft previously reserved for artisans in China.
This set of Emerald vine plates is particularly endeared to us. The graceful twisting vines and simple, all-over leaf pattern are a perfect example of the beauty of this porcelain silhouette.
